Carolyn Poole PCC, CPCC, CCMC
Carolyn’s professional passion has always been life-long learning and personal and professional transformation. For over 25 years, Carolyn has focused her interest and energy in the workplace learning and leadership development space. During that time she has also honed her practical experience as an effective leader in a variety of senior leadership roles in both large and small organizations. In the late 1980s she founded and was the COO of a publicly traded company with over 70 employees. Prior to becoming a full-time coach and facilitator in 2008, Carolyn was the founder and Director of the Centre for Business Development at Mount Royal University for seven years. The Centre supports organizations in the design and delivery of customized leadership development programs and services.
Carolyn was first introduced to coaching in 2003 and was immediately captivated by the power of coaching to accelerate learning, growth, and transformation. She has worked with hundreds of leaders in many sectors; energy, construction, transportation, education, not-for-profit, and the public sector, and successfully challenges and supports them in becoming more effective leaders. Carolyn has experience in working with leaders at all levels; emerging leaders, managers, directors, General Managers, VPs and Presidents in mid-size and large organizations.
Using an inquiry and strengths-based approach, Carolyn coaches her executive clients around increasing their competence and confidence in balancing the demands of task and people, enhancing communication and conflict resolution skills, building trust, illuminating blind spots, and leveraging strengths. Carolyn’s signature strength as a coach is her ability to connect deeply with her clients and be a compassionate, challenging, and persistent catalyst that calls forth the very best in them.
Carolyn is certified in MBTI – Step 1 and 2, DISC (TTI), Driving Forces (TTI), WPB5, Conversational Intelligence, and the Leadership Circle Profile™.
